About Me

Based in Perth, Scotland, I became interested in Magic aged 9 which is a long time ago!  I have for many years been first and foremost a Children's Entertainer although I also entertain Adults.

I collect vintage magic props and am particularly keen to get Jack Hghes items to add to the ever growing pile.  I have also operated a second hand magic exchange for well over 40 years, which could make me now the longest established s/h dealer in the U.K.!

My speciality is books and currently have well over 2500 different titles available!

About Me

Hello admirers of David. I see it is reported that David started learning his magic etc aged about 13. I was a close personal pal of David from age about 8 until 18 when I left our mutual home town of Oldham. The fact is, he first started his interest in magic and escapology by the age of 9 or 10. I know this because we played together as mates on a daily basis, mainly on the streets of Coppice, Oldham or in his home. He lived is St Thomas Street North and I lived just around the corner in Malton Street.

His father, George had been a special constable in the war and possessed a pair of police handcuffs. David used to let me lock these on him and always escaped! I also used to tie him with rope (though not knowing very much about knots at such a young age). Inevitably, David would escape! At this stage it was just two kids having fun. Only many year after, having by then lost touch with David, did I learn that my old pal David L...had become the clebrated David de Val.

I have a few stories and background about David which I will add to this record when time permits. Suffice it to say just now that he was always a generous and friendly pal and I knew his parents George and Elsie during my days of growing up from about 1945 to 1959.

I also have school photos of both of us from a very early age which I will download if anyone wishes and I can learn how!

Will keep in touch through this website.

Regards to all readers,

G.

About Me

U.K. Escape Artist, Weasel Dandaw worked as an Entertainer & Illusionist in the circus for many years before deciding to concentrate on his Escapes. Within the Circus community he was well known for his Fire Box Escape, where he would be handcuffed & chained in a box, with petrol soaked fire brands placed around his neck & waist. He then had to escape before the box exploded in flames. In all the years he did this, amazingly he never failed (although he had a few close calls).

He then went on to do various big escapes including prisons in the United Kingdom, Europe, South Africa & the United States.

A Strait Jacket escape & a Male/Female Duo Strait Jacket escape with the American Escape Artist CINDINI, both whilst suspended above alligators in the Florida Everglades.

Pier jumps in his home County of Dorset, either handcuffed & shackled or in a Strait Jacket.

Weasel Dandaw has had appearances on T.V. shows like “The Johnny Vegas Show” & also appeared live on the Guinness World Records show “50 Years, 50 Records” where he freed himself from a 20 metre chain & 4 padlocks, whilst underwater, in 10.76 seconds.

Weasel’s latest escape was when he was lowered into the ocean amongst Great White sharks off of the South African Cape, secured in a cage, handcuffed in regulation police handcuffs.

HE WAS SUCCESSFUL IN EMANCIPATING HIMSELF!!!

As well as being an accomplished Escape Artist, he now has an extensive collection of handcuffs & restraints he has collected through his work.
